December 2024 Update

9th October 2025

2024 has been a year of growth, challenges, and remarkable achievements at JPP, made possible thanks to your unwavering support.

We’re sorry for such a long delay in any updates about JPP, while the project has been thriving and the kids doing better than ever, we’ve also had some challenges – and sadly updating everyone has dropped down the to-do list.

in 2025 we will be giving more regular updates to all of our supporters, without who we wouldn’t be able to continue helping these 65 kids! So, without further ado, here’s what’s been happening at JPP over the last year:

Highlights of 2024: Achievements Worth Celebrating

Academic Excellence

  • Outstanding Results: Across all age groups, the children excelled in their studies. Hemant and Khushboo in Class 12, Sheetal and Dheeraj in Class 11, and our younger students achieved excellent grades in their board exams, reflecting their dedication and the unwavering guidance of our educators.
  • Special Recognitions: Diksha’s remarkable efforts earned her the Gargi Puraskar award, a prestigious accolade that highlights academic excellence. Her achievement inspires all our children to aim high and dream big.
  • Competitive Success: Navneet stood out by being one of only four boys selected from his school for a prestigious competition, demonstrating the academic potential we aim to foster in every child.

Festivities and Togetherness

  • Diwali Joy: While a planned trip to Vrindavan was canceled due to cost, every child received a beautiful new outfit for the festival. Watching their faces light up during the celebrations was a reminder of the profound impact your support has on their happiness.
  • Pushkar Fair Adventures: This November, many children experienced the colorful Pushkar Fair, where they delighted in cultural programs and festivities. Priyanka and Gayatri even performed a Rajasthani dance, making the event all the more special. Practical purchases of sweaters and blazers ensured that every child was warm and ready for the colder months.

Sporting Triumphs

  • Boxing Champions: Jatin and Rikesh brought home silver and bronze medals in district-level boxing competitions, a testament to their discipline and hard work. These victories have inspired other children to explore their potential in extracurricular activities.

Challenges Faced and Overcome

  • Health Crises: Several children faced serious medical challenges. Navneet was hospitalized with dengue, and Dimpal suffered from anemia and related complications. Your donations ensured they received the necessary care and nutritious food during their recovery. While these emergencies stretched our resources, the resilience of our children and staff shone through.
  • Bereavements: Very, very sadly a couple of children’s mums passed away this year, including Hemant’s only yesterday. As I’m sure you can understand, this is incredibly difficult for the children, and for th ecommunity. We’re doing everything we can at JPP to support them, giving financial support, as well as the care, comfort and emotional support that these kids need at times like these.
  • Financial Pressures: Rising costs for education, school supplies, and everyday necessities like food and gas made budgeting particularly challenging this year. The cost of essentials—books, uniforms, and even school socks—continues to rise, but thanks to your generosity, we met these needs head-on.

A Year of Growth and Gratitude

  • New Horizons: Dheeraj cleared his army exams, pursuing his dream of joining the military—a milestone made possible by years of nurturing and your continued support.
  • Life Skills: Many of the children took part in school programs and competitions, developing skills that will serve them far beyond the classroom. From cultural performances to sporting events, each child is discovering their unique talents.

Every moment of triumph, every smile, and every step forward has been possible because of you. Your donations not only provide essentials like food and clothing but also give the children the confidence to dream, achieve, and thrive.

Looking Forward to 2025

  • Enhancing educational opportunities for the children.
  • Expanding extracurricular programs to uncover more talents.
  • Ensuring every child feels valued, supported, and prepared to face the world.

Your partnership has been invaluable in this journey, and we look forward to another year of shared purpose and impact.
